We are contacting you from Rath N.S. to request your assistance for our fundraising drive.
Many of you will be aware that there is much ongoing work at the school, including a new classroom, two Special Education rooms and an office, which will provide wonderful additional facilities for current and future students.
In conjunction with this development, we are also carrying out work to the rear of the school, including groundworks & upgrading the playing surface; we would hope that we might also be in a position to paint at least part of the existing school.
While the new extension will receive State funding, unfortunately, there is no Department of Education funding for our additional work. Understandably, it is much more cost effective to carry out this work now in conjunction with the ongoing construction. Although we have raised significant monies for this additional work, Covid has restricted our fundraising efforts, meaning we are looking at a shortfall of €25,000.
Many of you will have a long association with Rath N.S., whether as parents, past pupils, grandparents, or friends. We would like to think that the school has always been and continues to be an integral part of the wider community. It is only because of your support in the past that we have been able to develop the school playground and provide extra-curricular opportunities to the children. We hope you might be in a position to help with our fundraising, we would welcome any contribution.
