World Book Day

It’s been wonderful to welcome back our Infant, 1st and 2nd Class children this week and lovely to have something to celebrate – World Book Day 2021! It’s a day to appreciate books, authors, illustrators and the joy of reading. There was a plethora of book day activities done both in school and at home.

Every child in Junior and Senior Infants chose a book from their ‘pod library’ and found a nice spot to read outside.
First Class made some fantastic monster bookmarks!
First Class enjoying their books outside.
Second Class World Book Day activities.
Second Class reading outside in their pods.
Third Class designed toilet roll book characters at home.
Book covers brilliantly recreated by 3rd Class!
5th and 6th Class did virtual book presentations on Google Meet!
