Pupils from 5th & 6th class attended a basketball blitz in Cork, organised by Ciarán O’ Sullivan of Basketball Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership. Six boys competed in the competitive section on Tuesday, Feb 3rd in Neptune, narrowly missing out on the final, when it went to extra time with the first basket winning. All pupils then took part in the non-competitive section on Thursday in Fr. Matthew’s Hall. We entered three teams of mixed ability who thoroughly enjoyed their day out!
