We celebrated World Down Syndrome Day last Friday and asked everyone to wear brightly coloured socks, preferably odd, the brighter the better!
People with Down syndrome are born with an extra, 3rd copy of chromosome 21. This is why World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on the 21st day of the 3rd month of the year.
